Synthemesc history goes back to 1989/1990., when Vigor and Korlat began recording their songs on a cheap tape recorder, using Amiga computer as a drum machine. Oleg joined the "band" a year later. Three of us recorded at least thirty of our own songs (plus two or three covers) on a four-track recorder during 1990/1991. Korlat was most productive as author, but contributions from Vigor and Oleg were also substantial. We try to avoid categorization of our songs, but if you need some sort of guideline as to what to expect, should you download any of our MP3s below, let's say it's a mixture of darkwave, 80's british pseudo-pop, with some noticeable industrial elements (we used drum machine - excellent Yamaha RY30 - on all of our songs, and liked it).

Korlat left the "band" in 1991. and continued to write some good (and some quite bad) music, and does so ever since. We (Oleg & Vigor) split amicably with him, and continued to exist as Synthemesc, and write more songs. In summer of 1993. we recorded what we like to call "an album" (although it was never officially published) in professional 24-track recording studio, with Denyken, well known croatian producer and "music figure", as engineer and semi-producer.

Here are MP3s from that "album"... Working title of "the album" was Metal and Glass, and since it never got published - we see no reason as to why it should not retain its title.

Download MP3s, listen to them and do whatever you please for your personal enjoyment, spiritual fulfillment and well-being, without violating our copyright and authors rights (ie. don't steal from us, make money on our songs behind our backs, or use our music in "your" songs intentionally).

Since we believe you don't want to download 30+ MB of MP3s, only to conclude you don't like them and that they suck big time, here is our recommendation: try songs 7, 6, 3, 11, 1 and 2, in that order, and if you happen to like them - come back for more. (No. 7 is the only song in Croatian.)

PS. We'd still like to publish these songs someday, so if you own a record company and are willing to pay us 4,57 millions of dollars to give you publishing rights, don't hesitate to contact us... oleg@bug.hr.
