About me and this site

I'm in no way connected to EA or Sonalysts. I was born, and for many years lived few meters from the sea (Adriatic - most beautiful sea in the world), and since my gaming days on Commodore 64 enjoyed playing naval sims and wargames. I live in Zagreb, spend summers on Dalmatian and Istrian coast, and in my free time, when I'm not playing games, I work as editor in largest Croatian computer magazine, Bug, and executive editor of Mreza (=Network), telecom and network technology magazine (both magazines are published by the same publisher). Besides Bug and Mreza, my articles were published by a dozen of local and international magazines, ranging from obscure to well known, like local edition of Playboy. I authored and co-authored several computer books.

I also did quite a few web sites in my life, including the one-time redesign of the web site of Croatian government (few years ago).

As for Sub Command - I love this game, noticed the lack of good sites dedicated to SC, made a few scenarios and mods myself, and finally decided to make this site.

Sub-Culture (this site) started back in December 2001, when I inteded it to be "one stop", "end all" Sub Command site. Since then many good, comprehensive Sub Command fan sites sprung up on the web, and I decided to concentrate exclusively on my own scenarios. You may find links to other SC sites in Links section, and browsing through my site you may still find "residues" of the times when this was "all round" SC site. Don't let it confuse you - this is NOT "all round" SC site, and there are much better sites that cover many other aspects of this game.

"SC-flavored" wallpapers I made when this was "end all" SC site are still available - at the bottom of this page.

When it comes to computer games - my taste is inclined to all sorts of military games. From classic wargames (like TOAW - I once maintained a site dedicated to this wonderful game, still play it sometimes, and recommend it to anyone with interest in military history) or Uncommon Valor, to tank and naval sims, to military-flavored FPS games, like Ghost Recon. In reality, war is huge pile of shit, and I wholeheartedly recommend you to limit your warlike experiences to PC monitor...

That's me on a cartoon and photo below... yes the German "Stahlhelm" helmet is authentic.

In case you wonder - title "Sub-Culture" is borrowed from a song by my favorite band New Order, suites the purpose of the site perfectly...
